Snowline Chainsen Light Spikes are a lightweight version of the tried and true Chainsen design. They provide extra needed traction when you encounter difficult snow fields and muddy conditions along the trail. In addition to more secure footing, they provide a psychological edge, allowing you to tackle more challenging terrain. And they weigh just 8.6 oz (243 g) per pair, 28% lighter than MICROspikes®.
With 12 spikes per foot, 8 in the forefoot and 4 in the heel, you’ll walk with confidence. The 0.48-0.59 in. (12.2-14.9 mm) long spikes are made of hardened 400 series stainless steel for high durability and corrosion resistance. The independent spike groups, connected by chain, keep snow from collecting under your foot. And the chain design allows the spikes to flex with your shoes as well as fit varying shoe designs. The chains are hardened stainless steel and welded for high strength.
