For as long as she can remember, Carly has had a camera in her hands. She carries one at all times, even while trekking in the Alps, canoeing in the BWCA, or rafting through the Grand Canyon. Most of her professional work has been covering news as a video photojournalist in Minnesota, but she is passionate about the outdoors and sees travel and landscape photography as a way to inspire conservation efforts, and to encourage people to take adventures themselves.

Do you get back from a trip wishing your photos better captured the amazing adventure you just had? Join Carly for a photography basics workshop and a photo walk to put those new techniques into action. We’ll talk about exposure, composition, and how to capture moments, among other techniques. Bring whatever camera you have. A DSLR is great, but even a point and shoot digital camera or a phone camera will work. Dress for a short walk to the river and back.

Minnesota State Parks Management Meeting

Join the Minnesota Climbers Association and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for an evening of conversation and community.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the climbing management plans connected to the state parks that we love. Bring your questions, comments and concerns.
