A bit about Mary Grace's work:
"Much of my work is rooted in a deep devotion to the mountains, their inhabitants ,and a lifelong love of water. This connection was shaped early through the sport of ski racing and by growing up in the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes. From camping in the Northwoods of Minnesota to skiing across North America, my love of the outdoors evolved alongside my love of art—each strengthening the other.
I am a self-taught artist, and much of what I’ve learned has come from witnessing a scene unfold in real time. Nature is the greatest teacher. Some of its most profound lessons are found in observing the way light shifts with time, quietly and completely repainting the landscape it touches.
As a kindergartner, I wrote a letter to my future self declaring that I wanted to be both an artist and a skier. Today, I continue to honor that inner child, carrying the technicolor joy of that fulfilled promise into my work. My hope is that my paintings invite reflection and rekindle a sense of connection to the natural world—offering viewers space to rediscover their own inner child in the process"
Artist Talk: 5/6 6-7PM (FREE ADMISSION)
Workshop: 5/16 10AM-2PM
