Allie Rykken is a St. Paul-based watercolor artist who admires all things Minnesota outdoors - cross-country skiing, canoeing, trail running - and insists on painting adored trails and features along the way.

When she's not (daydreaming about the woods) painting, she chases her kids around, works at the Loppet Foundation organizing Outdoor Art and Paddling programs, coordinates the Tour de Finn Ski Series, and is the race director of the Ski North Ultra.  You can follow her work on Instagram at @watercolorsandpies.

Bring your love of the outdoors and creativity together in this Winter Watercolor Workshop. All experience levels are welcome. We will start indoors with some basic watercolor instruction, hike down to the river, work through some drawing and painting exercises, and come back to the store for some cozy painting and reflection. This is experiential and skills-generative, and hopes to encourage confidence in creativity in all kinds of weather.

Expect some off-road hiking and being outdoors for 60-90 minutes.

Artist Talk: February 4th / 6-7PM (FREE ADMISSION)

Workshop: February 28th / 1-3PM
